Sara Ostmann named Administrative Intern at Independence Elementary

The Francis Howell School District has appointed Sara Ostmann as the new Administrative Intern of Independence Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023.

With more than 15 years of experience as a classroom teacher at Independence and a variety of building and District-level leadership roles, including department chair, Ostmann is well-equipped for her new role.

"I am honored to serve as the Administrative Intern at Independence Elementary,” said Ostmann. “I am excited to continue to work alongside the students, staff, and families!"

Ostmann received her master's degree in School Administration and bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Lindenwood University. She also successfully completed the LEAP Program, a leadership initiative in the Francis Howell School District that provides experienced certified staff members with administrative internship opportunities to enhance their instructional leadership skills and develop as future leaders. She currently serves the Independence Elementary community by teaching second grade.
